So Bloomington, we’ve decided to host a glamorous evening of drinks & dancing at the most special of places, the Bluebird. It’s our winter formal, & all you have to do is throw on a dress or a tie for a couple bucks off at the door. Gather your pals, maybe take a shower or shave, & show up in style. It all happens on Saturday, January 28th.
Commuting? We’ll have a party bus taking you from Indianapolis to Bloomington & back so you can start the party early. $30 covers your fare & your show ticket. Book it.

In this week’s “Twisted Holiday Moments,” we discovered that Dee Snider lifted “We’re Not Gonna Take It” from “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” This may have been obvious to some, but it’s nice to put two & two together like that every now & again. It’s kind of like when you realized that “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” & the alphabet song were the same tune. Oh, wait, you never knew? Sorry/you’re welcome.
What’s left for this year? Well, there’s an original throwdown in Indianapolis, a “shopping’s done but the relatives aren’t all up in my hair just yet moment to yourself” in Elgin, a NYE practice run in Schaumburg, & Giovanni’s official NYE bash in Rockford.
New stuff, warm stuff, music stuff – it’s all in our shop.
12/16/11
This Friday, Saturday, & Sunday only, we’re offering free shipping on all our merchandise so that you can stock your stuffings stuff your stockings with Dot Dot Dot goodies.
New hoodies have arrived, along with bottle cap necklaces & signed drumsticks. T-shirts are still on clearance for only $10, & the CD trilogy set is quickly selling out at $20.
Happy hollerdays.

One dozen shows are on display this holiday season, shining bright like a cozy, fragile leg lamp. You might be sitting there thinking, “WTF, this Polski nutjob must have had too much Ovaltine because I only see eleven shows in December.” Well, the New Years’ show counts for two because we’re going to Cracker Barrel the next morning to be Uncle Herschel’s back-up dancers in a little Off-Broadway production we like to call “Hot Damn, Adam Sure Does Love Himself Some Syrup.” Okay, now back to reality, kid.
You’ll shoot your eye out this weekend at the Windy City’s own Christmas-themed Christkindl Market (all ages) in Lincoln Square.
We’ll be serving up the meatloaf, smeatloaf, double beatloaf Sconnie style at the Brat Stop with AM Taxi.
We’re also putting on our warmest pink bunny suits & setting out for a handful of new venues in St. Louis, Lakewood/Cleveland, & Indianapolis.
Oh fudge, it’s NYE.
Merch Alert: New embroidered sweatshirts & t-shirts have arrived in our shop just in time for the seasonal whathaveyou. Meanwhile, all other shirts are on sale for a mere $10, & the EP trilogy set is only $20. Just a little bit of dough gets you a lot of ho ho ho.
Green Humpday is the new Black Wednesday, as our Harrah’s Casino show is free & potentially worth thousands if you’ve got the lucky duck bucks (i.e., roulette – black 26). We will be presenting “Slot Slot Slot: the ‘Dean’ Martin Kane County All-Star Vegas Tribute Telethon Circus of the Stars & Stripes Forever & Ever Amen,” or something.
This Friday, we’re passing the savings onto you in the form of $3 off a prepaid ticket (enter code: hollerandsave3dollars) to the Bottom Lounge for an evening of our music, along with our friends Murley Shertz, Wayland, & Heavy Sugar. Be sure not to miss our last Chicago show of the year.
For a long time, we’ve been loving ambassadors to Green Bay, providing musical release & camaraderie to sporting rivalry & tension. Our next brave pilgrimage into Packersland happens Saturday.
Interested in a party bus ride from Madison to Kenosha’s Brat Stop? Yup.
NYE.

The L. A. Times calls it “a special once-a-century repunit palindrome day.” The interpretations are numerous & fierce. But could it be just another random number on a man-made calendar day? Plus, isn’t the 2012 apocalypse enough to worry about? Make your wishes or whatever you do, but you may want to leave your house just in case an asteroid does hit it. Ah, but where to go? Oh, looky. We’ve got some new tunes cooked up, & we need your assistance in the clapping & cheering department.
The answer to all of your questions: Bottom Lounge on Black Friday.
Something else to haunt your dreams: “Multiple Waldo Nightmare Scenario”

After a little somethin’ somethin’ in St. Joe, we’re heading to the greatest Halloween hoedown in the heartland: A costume contest, sausage products, beer by the tankerload, & the five of us all wearing [censored due to extreme content].
Meanwhile, we found this in the archives:
That’s, uh, Marty in an officially licensed $tephan costume. Many thanks go to Cinderella Jr. for letting us hang out with them. They were such sweet little pumpkins.
Is anybody up for Kentucky or Tennessee next week? Giddy up.
Here’s an early warning for Chicago as well: Black Friday Bingo.
